Vitamin Booster is the more powerful serum of the two options that Belei, the new Amazon brand, has. The vitamin formula uses what is called “super berries” to provide a large amount of vitamins C and E as well as other antioxidants beneficial to the complexion.
These have a joint protective action against the damage caused by free radicals , which helps prevent premature aging derived from the sun and pollution.
In addition to this, it also works as a firming facial contour, leaving the complexion plump and softened. This means that it does not have too many moisturizing properties; this is left to the other serum of the brand, which has a more intense moisturizing effect.
That is why it is important that after the serum you apply a moisturizing cream, because only with the serum you will not achieve the level of moisture that your skin needs.
Use it before the moisturizer and after cleansing to enhance the properties of the cream. You can use it every day both in the morning and at night on the face and neck, avoiding contact with the eyes.
Now is the time to analyze your INCI to see what type of vitamins and assets it contains, and in what proportion they are found.

Summary analysis Belei Serum Booster with vitamins
Starting the list we find a silicone, an occlusive agent that retains moisture within the dermis, but at the same time is comedogenic, a disadvantage for oily and combination skin, as it can cause pimples and acne.
Personally, I don’t like silicones. Although they leave the skin very soft, they do not solve the problem of dryness. In this serum it is very present, so it is best that only dry and normal skin use it.
The second ingredient is a petroleum-based moisturizer and conditioner that also has a moderate risk as an irritant and sensitizer. It hydrates, but may not be the best ingredient for sensitive skin.
With glycerin and other silicone, a pleasant texture and a minimum of hydration is ensured, although we again find ourselves with the problems of occlusion of silicones.
The composition of this serum continues with panthenol (provitamin B5), a good emollient product that hydrates and provides an anti-inflammatory effect to the complexion.
The first vitamin to appear is E, which in addition to being a powerful antioxidant, calms and protects the skin . It is not the only one, but to find the others you have to go a little further down.
Before the active ingredients, there is urea, a component of urine that, when used in small amounts, works as a gentle exfoliator and improves the absorption of the other ingredients, keeping the pH of the formula fixed. However, you must be careful, as urea can cause allergic reactions .
And garden cress extract, an antioxidant that prevents blemishes, treats discolorations and uneven skin tone, and brightens skin.
It is from here that what the brand calls “super berries” begin to appear. Refers to açaí extract, goji berry extract and pomegranate extract.
All 3 basically act in a similar way, being powerful antioxidants that slow down aging caused by free radicals.
Açaí is rich in ferulic acid an AHA; Goji berries, in addition to antioxidants, have the ability to energize cells so that they can function properly, and promote the creation of collagen.
For its part, pomegranate helps prevent damage at the cellular level, repairs and lengthens the survival of the cells that make up collagen and elastin, while regenerating the skin .
The antioxidant effect is increased by the addition of a stable derivative of vitamin C that stimulates the creation of collagen while lightening the tone. But it has a risk, it is quite irritating and sensitizing, although in this case its concentration is not to worry about.
Four sugars are shown below: fructose, glucose, sucrose, and dextrin. Its function is very similar, mainly as moisturizers , although fructose also acts as a gentle exfoliator and is a source of natural glycolic acid, which can have a small lightening effect on blemishes.
Belei has also included some amino acids (building blocks of proteins) to the formula. These, in addition to providing a smoother appearance on the skin, stimulate the production of collagen and elastin , which helps to improve the condition of the skin.
An ingredient that we also like is Hexyl Nicotinate, which is used in skin care to improve blood circulation, regenerate tired and dull skin, and increase the skin’s natural defenses . However, its effects will not be very palpable, since it is in a low concentration.
The Belei Booster Serum with Vitamins formula ends with a fatty acid, perfume, and the preservative phenoxyethanol, which is well known for its toxic and damaging effects on the skin. Luckily, it is in a very low concentration.
With all this I want to say that although this time Belei has done a bit more care in the formula, the proportion of the active ingredients continues to fail, which are generally beyond the 6th place in the list of ingredients.
It contains some interesting vitamins and several ingredients with a high antioxidant power, which can benefit skins that are facing the aging process and want to avoid much of its effects.
I would not recommend it for young skin that needs more hydration, as it does not achieve great hydration and can promote the appearance of pimples. Nor do I recommend it if what you want is an anti-wrinkle product to prevent or treat them.
Alternative
I recommend the Nezeni Cosmetics serum, because in addition to including a good amount of stable vitamin C, it combines other anti-aging ingredients such as Cobiolift (quinoa extract) that helps reduce wrinkles, and hyaluronic acid, an excellent moisturizer and filler.
It also includes some amino acids to the formula, and several moisturizers. In fact, it is quite hydrating for a serum.
But what I like the most is that it does not have any kind of irritant or ingredient harmful to the skin, and its preservatives are really low, so it helps to avoid the combined effect of cosmetics, which is really dangerous in the long term.
That is why I recommend it in the article about the best facial serums on the market .
