Caudalie Hydrating Tonic Lotion analysis summary
I like Caudalie products because they tend to have the quality and ingredients that I am looking for. However, this toner is not one of my favorite products. I explain.
The first 5 ingredients have not been used well. In addition to water, which is usually the base of any toner, there is a moisturizer, an irritant ingredient, a preservative, and a solvent.
The active ingredients appear later, in the form of humectants, moisturizers, soothing and emollients. The formula comes down to that.
It is not a bad product, since it does not have any harmful ingredients (only an irritant, which would be canceled out by the soothing agents it includes), but I do think that it is wasted.
They could have used better moisturizing actives, out there, and put them at the top of the list. Caudalie’s Hydrating Toner is a great staple for cleansing and refreshing, but it’s not particularly hydrating.
Alternative
Nezeni Cosmetics Micellar Water is an example in terms of the use of assets. From the first ingredient there are ingredients that really benefit the skin, in this case combination or oily skin.
It is more hydrating than Caudalie toner, while purifying the most oily skin, without stripping it of its natural oils, still benefits.
There may be some cases of skin that are more receptive to Caudalie tonic, but in general, you will have more benefits with Nezeni.
