Eucerin has designed a hand cream that protects against dehydration for up to 18 hours at a time, activates the skin’s own enzymes and therefore strengthens the skin’s barrier function.
To do this, it uses highly concentrated dexpanthenol, a moisturizer and regenerator that smoothes rough and chapped hands.
And the pH 5 citrate buffer stabilizes the skin’s natural pH and enhances the skin’s protective layer. That is why it has excellent efficacy and skin tolerance, even on damaged skin.
Its surprisingly soft and light texture smooths the skin easily and absorbs quickly.
A perfect cream for the effective and long-lasting care of the delicate and sensitive skin of the hands, which regenerates and smoothes rough and chapped hands.
Now we are going to analyze the INCI to see if what they tell us is true, as we have also done with other creams in this Analysis of the Best Hand Creams , in which you also have all the information you need to correctly choose a cream suitable for your needs.

- Glucosylrutin: Alpha Glucosyl Rutin (αG Rutin) is a highly safe and stable bioflavonoid. Its antioxidant and stabilizing properties are used in food and beverages to prevent the photodegradation of natural pigments (carotinides, anthocyanins and the like). In cosmetics it can be used to combat tissue glycation, one of the factors causing aging and responsible for many diseases related to aging. Keratinocytes, the cells that make up the epidermis and the skin’s first defense layer, are continuously exposed to UV-B rays that damage DNA. The result of this exposure is photoaging of the skin, characterized by a rough texture, a dramatic loss of elasticity, and uneven pigmentation. The strong antioxidant and UV absorbing properties of Glucosylrutin make it an ideal ingredient for the prevention of premature skin aging and its negative effects. As a strong antioxidant combined with UV absorption characteristics, Alpha Glucosyl Rutin can help protect the epidermis and dermis against UV-induced damage.
- Isoquercitrin : Isoquercitrin is a naturally occurring flavonoid, a quercetin glycoside that occurs naturally in red wine, tea, onions, kale, tomatoes, berries, and many other fruits and vegetables, with concentrations higher than they are found in leaves and skin. It works as an antioxidant, skin calming agent, and restorative ingredient. Quercetin is also present in some herbal ingredients, including St. John’s wort and Ginkgo biloba. Unlike quercetin, Isoquercitrin is soluble in water, which increases its bioavailability.

Eucerin pH5 Hand Cream Review Summary
As mentioned in the description, dexpanthenol (Panthenol) is in a high concentration, as are many other emollients that accompany it in the top positions. Thus the proportion of moisturizers in the cream is covered.
Then glucosylrutin and isoquercitrin appear, along with vitamin E, antioxidants that protect the skin from free radicals. And some beneficial fatty acids for the skin, such as oleic acid that restores and repairs damaged skin.
But among these beneficial active ingredients, there are also many ingredients that do not contribute anything to the skin (only the consistency of the cream), and others that have a negative effect, such as irritants, a toxic preservative, and irritating and allergenic fragrances.
There are better formulas in which we find a higher proportion of moisturizing and protective actives, and fewer problematic ingredients. Still, it is not one of the worst options on the market.
Alternative
One of the best hand creams we can find is Caudalie’s, with a very successful combination of moisturizing, exfoliating, nourishing and protective agents.
In addition, it is the one that has the least amount of harmful ingredients, so it not only takes care of your skin, but also your health.
