Rodial Cougar Skin Zero Gravity Cream Review Summary
We find shea butter among the first ingredients, a good ingredient that nourishes and hydrates the skin; along with rice bran and germ oil, which is an antioxidant, hydrating and calming.
Squalane is also in a good concentration, which is also a great antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-stain.
After several emollients we find phenoxyethanol, a toxic and irritating preservative that is in a fairly high concentration.
There are several botanical ingredients, which act as antioxidants, moisturizers, barrier, and restore flexibility, although their presence is in a very low concentration. There is even hyaluronic acid, although due to its position on the list, its effect will be minimal.
In addition to some antibacterials, we have black cohosh root extract, which is a good anti-acne ingredient, so it could be the key ingredient you use to control oil and breakouts.
On the other hand, it includes perfume, alcohol, and various fragrances, so it can be irritating for some skin types.
In short, it is a cream that is not bad at all, as it has good anti-aging ingredients. It has many antioxidants, moisturizers, and other ingredients to control oil and acne.
However, I think it may fall short of active ingredients for mature skin, as it does not include peptides, amino acids, or other compounds that can increase the formation of collagen or elastin.
Alternative
My bet is the Antiage cream from Nezeni Cosmetics, which I think has a more global action. The formula is smaller, but more concentrated, and focuses on tightening and plumping the skin thanks to hyaluronic acid, peptides, and other beneficial ingredients for mature skin.
Also, it does not include alcohol, nor the toxic preservative that is present in Rodial’s cream. An option that will be better for our skin.
