It is surprising to find that L’Oreal Micellar Water for Normal to Dry Sensitive Skin has the same formulation as Garnier SkinActive All-in-1 Micellar Water. Well, it’s really not surprising, as the Garnier brand is part of the L’Oreal group.
They are advertised as different cleansing products, one is an all-in-1, while the other is special for sensitive skin, but they are the same.
Water, glycerin, cleaners, solvents and preservatives, this is all that the product includes; an extremely simplistic base formula that does its job well in respecting dry skin.
It would be much better if they had added some advanced moisturizing ingredients, especially since it is a product for dry skin and does not have rinsing, but its reasonable price does not give much more.
One concern is that this makeup remover contains the cleansing agent Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, and leaving it on the skin is NOT a good idea. Cleaning agents break down makeup, oil, and skin, too.
That is why it is recommended to wash it with a mild, water-soluble cleanser and then with other skin care products.
For me it is not a replacement for the more advanced cleansers with beneficial ingredients for the skin, but simply a good option to remove makeup, especially if you want a “quick and easy” option to remove your makeup before going to bed.
