  • Phytosteryl Macadamiate : It is the ester of the fatty acids of macadamia nut oil and of soy phytosterols, a plant analog of cholesterol esters, which play an important role in the barrier function of the skin. It forms liquid crystals that are similar to the intercellular laminar structures in the stratum corneum. It has a high water-holding capacity and is a plant-derived lanolin substitute.

Kanebo Sensai Ultimate The Concentrate Review Summary

KANEBO SENSAI ULTIMATE the concentrate 30 ml

The first 5-6 ingredients (the ones in the highest proportions), I don’t like them at all. Solvents, alcohol, silicones, PEGs and even an irritating and toxic ingredient that should be in lower concentrations.

The thing does not improve until the tenth ingredient, where a series of active principles begin to appear: lightening, antioxidants, moisturizers, anti-inflammatory, repairing and collagen stimulators.

There are a good number of them, both of plant and chemical origin; but most are in too small a proportion to have any favorable effect.

And the worst is yet to come: irritating or allergenic fragrances, toxic preservatives, and parabens. Sure, its exterior may seem high-end, but most of its ingredients are not.

Alternative

If you want an effective cheaper option, I recommend Nezeni Cosmetics anti-wrinkle cream. This cream also has a good proportion of active ingredients, but without the undesirable ingredients that the Kanebo option has.
